The semi-finals of LJ IDOL Season 8 are in the books, now there are only two things left to do - to say goodbye and to decide this thing once and for all

I'm happy and proud of myself. No sadness here. I'm writing my official goodbye post now (though my entry in and of itself was meant to be a goodbye post for the season anyway since I knew I wasn't going to pimp and specifically asked Kevin to not pimp for me either).

Congrats to the other two wonderful ladies. It's been a pleasure being in the semi-finals amongst such talent.

Thanks to everyone who has continually supported me from the very beginning of my time here in Idol. And thanks to Gary for putting this whole shindig together.

Now back to my goodbye post which is slowly becoming a novel!

You had a great run and I'm really proud of you, honey. You've grown by leaps and bounds and it's been really terrific to see. I think Gary was right in saying if you keep working, you'll be a force to be reckoned with.

That's always great. I don't think we talked much in Season 6, but I can see that there's been a lot of personal growth. Maybe it was because, as you put it, you were writing very frivolous stuff back then, but you seem much more mature to me now. But of course, I'm an old lady. ;)

<3 I wanted to see you in the finals, and even win, but I have a lot of respect for you and your decision regardless. You were one of my very first Idol friends and I am so proud of you, seeing how far you've come. The growth in both your writing and who you are as a person is incredible.

I so look forward to seeing what comes next from your writing. Love you, and your work.

Thank you! And I said thank you in my post too, but thanks for all your support. You were one of the first LJ Idol "cool" kids that became my friend and one of the loudest supporters of me getting all this way. It's very much appreciated :)

I still think it's interesting you thought I was one of the "cool" kids of Idol in season 6 :P (Because I totally didn't feel like I was). Besides, you are clearly cooler than I am now!

If I had the skills, I'd make one for the silver and gold too!

You have been amazing this season. In a way, I'm actually glad you're not in the final, because you'll get to play in Season 9! Season 9 would be much worse off without you.
