I feel burned out AND like I'm fading away. So ner. I'm not sure what happened to my stamina - I dealt with all five children for nine months by myself and was fine, but a few days while the husband's away in the States and I'm exhausted! I must be getting old.

My husband said that yesterday. I can't really think about holidays otherwise I really will fall over - I can't see it happening any time soon. We are booked into the home ed camp at the end of August, but I'll be doing that by myself with the children and although it was a lot of fun last year, it's still not exactly relaxing on your own.

My dad used to send me off to camp during the summers - day camp until I was about 10, then sleep-away camp from ages 10-16. I loved getting away from home and being "on my own" (with other campers and counselors and stuff) for 8 weeks!

I'm guessing that the JC Penney ad is a much bigger deal among the Merkins (correct nomenclature) than it would be over here. Also a terrific way to troll One Million Moms.

Not that we don't have our fair share of bigots to troll over here too.

I missed the JC Penny ad campaign... So I'm not sure it's a huge deal. Then again... I'm out of touch with most things as I barely get out on the Internet these days!

Hey beautiful Idolers!

I just wrote Gary to let him know that I'm not going to have an entry today. For the last few weeks I've felt as though I'm taking the spot of someone who is working far harder than I am, and for whom it is more important to keep going.

I love LJI, and have enjoyed competing this season. There's just too much going on for me right now, and I'm just not going to phone in another entry. This whole thing is worth far more time and respect than I'm able to give it.

So, much love, kiddos. I'll be around, I'm just not going to compete any more this season.
