The other week I tried to read and vote on all the entries in the main game (obviously didn't have time for that this week with having to write the SCI entry), and I wondered if maybe the first few people in tribe 1 got more comments and votes than the last few people in the last tribe.
One thing that I found helped - scan the entry first and see if it's something you want to read and vote for. That can speed things up a bit, although of course I'm not sure how fair that is either.
Absolutely you can! It would be a little pointless, but if you felt that everyone deserved a vote, you're more than entitled to do that.
I remember someone a season or two back posting saying that if you only vote for a couple of people, you give them an advantage, if you vote for everyone except a couple of people you give them a disadvantage and if you vote for a middling number it doesn't impact that much. I don't know if that's true or not, but I'm notoriously stingy with my votes, so if you vote for everyone, we'll balance each other out!
And nervous. *bites fingernails*
I've started going through the poll, and dang it - I can't vote for everyone, can I?

How do you know how many votes people have before you vote?

I've heard one other mention of a spreadsheet, and I do think I have OpenOffice on this computer. But I've never been that organized, lol.

I voted for a middling number, so I guess I didn't have much of an impact. ;)

Those are good criteria. I'm a language nut myself, so I also look for sentence structure and the sounds of the words.

Some weeks are like that, though.
Welcome, and good luck!
