Green Room - Week 12 - Day 5

Jan 31, 2012 11:49

What a fun morning of dealing with fraud charges! Fortunately, I got a warning last night about them and the bank suspended my account so nothing more was able to be processed. I'm just lucky to someone decided to use my card in another country and it wasn't someone local. Otherwise, it might have been missed.

So, the lesson for today is secure your passwords and account information. Go, do it now. I'll wait.

Back? OK. Now send me the new password and account information so that I can make sure it is as secure as possible. I may hide it by using it to buy things off my Amazon wishlist. That way we all will know that the money is safe!

It's all part of the service. I help because I care!

Speaking of caring. I imagine that some of you care about this: http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/523621.html

It's the link to the community only poll! Tell your friends! Tell your family! Tell Newt Gingrich! Tell a phone!

No one has asked me directly, but I've seen at least one comment on them over the past couple of weeks, so I'll go ahead and answer them here, where supposedly everyone can see it. Or at least everyone reading this and not just skimming down to see who got "first".

- Will there be tribe shifts? Of course there will. When? I'm not at liberty to say. ;) If past precedent offers any indication, probably when you least want them! ;)
- What's the deal with Tribe Redemption? There are a variety of those questions. I thought the answer was self-explanatory, but obviously not. If you have ended up there, you were tied for the bottom. Which means you almost went home. Does that mean your entry that week wasn't up to snuff? Does it just mean that it didn't get enough attention?
Maybe one. Or the other. Or both. I can't help with making your entries better- although some time with the folks in the Work Room, bouncing around ideas, can.

What I can do is get you a little more attention, by putting you up at the top of the poll.
The hope is, once you go back to the regular tribes, you will have enough momentum and new readers to last.

As for the idea of "why do you stay in that tribe until there are no more ties?" That's a combination of the above (more time in the spotlight) and anyone who really doesn't like being in Tribe Redemption, or someone who wants to get rid of it altogether, has the opportunity to do so at any time! Go to the polls. Read the entries with the fewest votes, or where they are awfully close, support your favorite. Do whatever you can to insure there are no ties! That's pretty straight forward, and something in the hands of every single voter, right up until the last second!
