And to add some actual content: OMG! I'm dying trying to read everything, gonna have to really knuckle down and work through some of it tonight :) And if anyone's still looking for a spreadsheet, I have one here, hope it's useful for someone!
I am struggling with the reading. I'm supposed to be organising all the write-ins for NaNo and I'm running out of October to do it. I've had to come to the conclusion that I just won't be able to get all the entries read (I think I've read about 100), and I feel like such a failure!! And now I've come to that conclusion, how do I choose what to read?!!
See, I started just reading them on the post, and then when they were sorted into tribes, I thought, 'eek!' and then was totally durcheinander.
Since I came in as Second Chance last year, by the time I got here, all the tribes were much smaller, and I used to do my own first, too, and then the others. I think the random thing will work well, too, though, for now.
Awww, c'mon Gary, didn't you see the tray of cupcakes we left you as a consolation present? Don't ruin our fun. :)
It's time for hot chocolate or tea or whatever other hot drink I can find. Dublin Fog, I think. Yes. Looking forward to a cleaning day today, and taking Dad out to Outback with the boyfriend tonight as a celebration for his last radiation treatment this past Monday!
I wish I could claim credit for it, but it's actually from the mind of the indeed-very-awesome George Takei, who posted it on his Facebook page some days ago.
Goddamn, I still haven't finished looking through yesterday's GR yet! My husband had the day off today so we've been out and about doing this and that.
My current happy place? This morning I took advantage of AirAsia's latest sale and booked a (long) weekend away for the husband and I in Osaka, Japan. Two adults return flights from KL for only around US$350 (that's not the per person price, that's for both of us). It's the first trip we've booked away from the kids since our honeymoon. So I'm really looking forward to that. Also, we'll be able to visit Kyoto while we're there. We've only been to Tokyo in Japan before, which we both loved, so I'm looking forward to seeing more of the country.
Oh crap, I just stepped away from LJ for a mere second and suddenly there's the GR!
:head desk:
I don't wanna turn on the heat. Oil prices rose to dizzying heights in the last couple of months. I've been hoarding what I have left from my last delivery...I can't afford any more, so I'm sitting here with my big woolly bathrobe and a space heater :/
We have a really nice one we'd gotten for my mother a few years ago. That's the one I'm using now. I just may end up glued to this chair for the rest of the day ;)

I'll be able to read a few more entries tomorrow.
