Congratulations
I'll admit, I was worried there for awhile. When I woke up after the first night of polls, it looked like it was going to be a blow out. Which didn't feel like the ending this season had earned.
I should have more faith.
In the days that followed, it became a barn-burner. The lead must have switched at least 5 times tonight, and that's only when I was actively refreshing the page to check the votes as they came in. There were several points where I thought for sure it was going to come down to a Sudden Death Write Off! Let's face it, that's probably the only way this could have ended in a "more Season 11 way."
It was a season of close matches, and of firsts. So it's only fitting that tonight, we get both.
Tonight we crown our first true international winner. (Allison is from Canada but mostly lived in the US before traveling) We crown first writer who didn't write in their Native language. Heck, not even her second language. (Edit to add: I keep forgetting this, but we are also crowning our oldest winner!)
Tomorrow, I will write my goodbyes to the final three, but tonight... tonight we crown the winner of LJ Idol Season 11 - dadi!
