That’s awesome about the band being so generous with you! Wowza!
I’m sort of afraid about the poll results this week - comments are zero on my entry (except the bot letting me know about the link in Karmasoup’s entry) and there’s usually at least a few by this point. I think it’s a good entry, so I have no idea what’s going on. Sigh.
No comments for me either. I'm afraid that (1) there are very few 2nd chance contestants who can even vote in our poll and they probably won't all read/vote. (2) It's going to be a REALLY trim margin so that we all wind up in some kind of runoff.
There’s 15 SC contestants, almost all of whom were originally in the main competition. I’ve already read and voted on those, now I’m working my way through reading all the others.
I know I don’t leave a comment on every single entry, but I probably comment on about 75%. It is what it is, I guess.
I left comments on most of what I read this week. Normally, I haven't been doing that because I'm kind of reading on the fly from my phone or whathaveyou, but this was only 15 entries, so I did them all in one sitting. So voting is done on my part, but I didn't read the regular contestants yet (aside from a couple on my friends list).
I'll be reading all the main competition entries and commenting on them, over the next two days.
But the Second Chance ones were my first priority, since those are the only ones I can vote on (so, the only ones with a 'time limit' for me).
The lack of comments definitely FEELS worrying, as it usually does, and there are only 15 voters in Second Chance, so it's even more nerve-wracking.
But limited comments are also one of the side-effects of mail-in votes, so keep that in mind. It's one of the reasons it's always kind of depressing when the vote is a mail-in!
I've been terrible about commenting this year, so I'm hoping the lack of comments on my post just means others are the same - but yeah, having only 15 people to vote on our whole tribe is kind of freaking me out.
I wouldn’t worry about no comments too much right now… I don’t have any from the Second Chance group, either. They have a lot more entries to read than we do, though, and maybe they’re just overwhelmed
( ... )
Well, there’s 31 in the main group and 15 SC, but as you noted the SC group is basically (I’m not sure about 1 of them) all from the main comp, and we used to have WAY more entries to read. 31 seems like not much compared to 100+!
I like the Gatekeeper thought, tho they and the contestant only votes are my least favorite! I always panic when I have no clue how I’m doing. But here, have an oar, and let’s paddle for all we’re worth!
I’m not commenting as much this week because I just don’t have time to read everything and comment. I’m trying, but mostly I’m reading and getting to the next entry so I can vote fairly. Others may be doing that too.
