Green Room - Week 13 - Day 6

Feb 11, 2020 11:37

I'm listening to a podcast about the 10th anniversary of Rob Has a Podcast. In it, he's talking about his original story (about getting it off the ground and finding his way). It's funny, because I didn't realize everything that was going on during that shaky first year. I came in somewhere in the middle of it, and recall "going back and listening ( Read more... )

You have done a wonderful job, and I can't fathom the amount of work it has taken over so many years. It's too bad there isn't a way to turn Idol into a podcast for more people to enjoy. I just started reading the entries, so back to that.

This thing you’ve built is awesome. I’ve met some of my closest friends from Idol, people I’ve even met in real life. Once I move, I hope to meet a few more since I’ll be closer to a few that’s previously been too far away. Plus, you know, now I’m a full-time writer and all. When I started, I did it out of boredom and wanting to blog about my life. I never thought I’d write fiction. And now I’m writing books for a living.

So yeah, I’d say you’ve built something huge. Even if Livejournal as a platform isn’t what it used to be. I’m glad you Idol is still here though.

Idol has changed my life as a writer, so YOU have changed my life for the better, G! You have created something that is fantastically special. You should be proud of it.

Also, !!!HAPPY BIRTHDAY to murielle!!!

Woah, I just realised I've been around for almost half the time Idol has existed, that seems so weird. I still remember coming in new and it seemed like this ancient thing with so much history.

Really appreciate all the work you put into this wonderful creation. I wouldn't be the writer I am today without it.

I came in during seasons six, and it felt really ancient to me back then too. I was new and everyone already seemed to know each other, there were inside jokes, traditions, etc.

And now, here I am, apart of history too.

Cynthia came into my life during Season 7. I think Idol can definitely be divided along the lines of pre-Cynthia and post-Cynthia. Having to move around someone else's schedule is part of it, and other part being that I didn't have the time (or interest) in the over-the-top obsession. :)

I think anyone who came in after that divide got a much nicer Gary.

I saw your previous comment and was confused for a moment. I actually remember when Cynthia came into your life, so I knew I was around for that.

And yes, I’ve heard about past seasons and how mean you were. I don’t really remember anything too terrible, personally. Well, except for that hell week I took part in that required like fifteen entries (not sure on the exact number).
