I was just thinking the same thing - I saw a sacrifice in my group and said "hooray I'm safe for sure!" Didn't think to check and see how many people were set to go... back to actively watching the poll every second even though I don't think I'm in any particular danger this time around!
I have had a (potty-mouth) week and have not been able to read any of the entries this week, so I voted for everybody. Hoping for a better week next week. Sorry.
I would be very sad indeed to see our amazing poet leave us too soon, before he has more opportunity to work out the problems of the universe. This week he mentions the fish-god in his first stanza and pulls the reader down into the dark waters as he goes. He never sends us alone.
If my time has come, then I shall go nobly. After all, none of us can resist our fate. I am also touched by your perspective here; knowing the depths of where our minds may sometimes go, feeling that we may trust there is light beyond the darkness, is in my view, what exists at the very heart of meaning itself. Anyways. Let the cards fall where they may.
