Happy Turkey for those Idolers celebrating! Gary, how are you feeling? I'm nowhere near finished reading yet but I've enjoyed what I've read so far ☺️

Holidays are iffy with me. Some years I'm perfectly fine with everything. Other years, like this year, I have a gloss of sadness knowing that I'm the last one standing in my family, and I start missing my parents very very much.

I feel ya. My mom passed when I was four, my dad has been gone for about 15 years, my brother lives 3000 miles away, and all the grand folks are gone too. Sigh. At least I have hubby, extended family, and friends to celebrate with! Happy turkey day to you!

I'm thankful for friends, family, animals, togetherness, food, writing, reading, laughter, decent health, financial stability, and that it's not snowing, because that would've meant no going to brother's house. I'm thankful to see my parents, one of my brothers, my SIL, and nephews, and thankful that my partner is actually going with me to a family function (unusual, and much welcomed!). Also thankful for this group, I always look forward to posts and entries and such. Have a great day, everyone!
