Results - Week 26
There are some weeks where you look at the result a day or so out and kind of get the feeling you know what is going to happen. It's like that bus crash in slow motion, it's coming, but you can't stop it so everyone proceeds, frame by frame.
This wasn't one of those weeks.
This was more one of those "things explode/everyone dies" moments where you aren't really sure what happened until you go back later and review the tape.
From the time I left work, until I got home after eating dinner, there were *a lot* of votes. Apparently folks *were* waiting until the last minute.
We are losing 2 this week.
Our favorite bean - favoritebean - is leaving this week, to take her place on the Jury. Which would be the headline in any other week. The only good thing about this is that I know her life is about to get crazy really soon. But still, I'm sure she would have managed to find a way to stay alive!
The second one is a tie, between j0ydivided and rayaso.
I KNOW we are at the Top 10, and it's not like there is much space and it's not like *any* result is a surprised. But I'm still surprised to see both names there.
If you thought the regular poll was crazy, you should have seen the Jury vote. There were *4 contestants* who were still eligible to receive immunity this week. 4. Who was going to be receiving changed hands 3 times TODAY. As in, 3 of the 4 people were in the lead at one point or another during the course of the day. (with the 4th not far behind)
The person who won it this week was actually down by *2 votes* when I checked it before I stepped off the bus to meet Cynthia. The last three voters all cast their ballots for her, tipping her over the top by a single vote... I mention this tension to draw this moment out just a little bit and remind people that 1 vote can change the course of the season.
Congratulations to j0ydivided for receiving immunity this week.
Which means that the Spirit of Season 10, and the person who won the very first immunity, marking him as a frontrunner to win this thing, way back in Week 1 - someone who betting folk would have most likely put money on to see in the finale...
rayaso is leaving us this week.
