Gatekeeper round. The Gatekeepers are a panel of professionals as well as often past Idol winners, who read all the entries and vote for their favorites. They are the only votes, typically. The rest of us just twiddle our thumbs and pray a lot because typically 6-10 people get cut. It's brutal!
