Weddings and World Steam Expo

Greetings all,

While I, much like everyone else has shifted generally toward Facebook, I will of course always be here as it's nice to type out longer thoughts and not reply on snippets of sentences for an update.  On that note, I wish I had a lot more to say but it's been one crazy May so far!  I couldn't attend ACEN as I ended up shooting 3 weddings that weekend back to back so talk about crazy!  Also a couple weeks earlier, I had another wedding to work on so that was likewise, fun.

Congratulations to my other clients but also to Arielle (zeldatetrasheik) and Chase, and Bobbi (tehrin) and Mark!  Now to just steadily work on photos from all this and also shoot at World Steam Expo this weekend in Dearborn.  Due to a last-minute engagement session coming up, I will be arriving Friday afternoon instead of Thursday and leaving probably Tuseday or so.  I plan to do general coverage but if anyone would like a photoshoot, just let me know.

Other than that, repaired the system here as of a week or so ago.  Story basically is that we had four consecutive power surges off and on without delay one morning after a strong rain and well, my UPS backup unit didn't feel like stopping the last hit so not only did that get damaged, it also fried my system's power supply.  The board still had power as the DIMM banks were lit but there was not enough +12v to boot the system anymore.  The UPS continued to function normally but I knew it was compromised so it was getting replaced.

Other than some downtime on my brother's old Dell laptop for a week (though hooked to my monitor of course for visual needs), I suppose all in all this wasn't too bad and could've been much worse.  I may be out ~$50 for lots of heavy shipping but thank goodness all the parts have quite lengthy manufacturer and extended warranties so the companies were glad to replace the PSU and UPS without so much as the bat of an eye.

Hard to believe it's nearly June already... lots of things in progress though so really excited.  Have a wedding on June 4th, 10th and 25th for that month, one in July, one in August, and two or three in September!  Not to mention that but also working on starting a computer company which, while it's not going as fast as I wanted, is still slowly coming together thanks to some helpful friends.

Finally back to my mining in WoW and doing good on TBC stuff at level 66.  Will need to buy WoTK soon!

That's all for now.  More as it develops.
