Manolo Sanlucar - Nacencia
I learned a bit of the simple melody by ear on the guitar a looong time ago, I was maybe about 17... I also rememeber using it for a performace piece for an art class at Uconn... a piece about my identity... and how I felt disconnected from those around me (yeah... I know... very emo and alienating, lol)
That melody has stayed with me. But I had forgotten who it was by... and today, suddenly I thought "could it be "manolo sanlúcar"?? and I found it.
It's music that takes me back to my childhood, to the south, memories of my father...
it fills me with nostalgia. The good kind :)
