Woot! Ray-Ray's B-Day Present Early...
No I'm not talking about the wife...
My new computer just arrived here at work.
I was able to get the best of both worlds, PC (item) distribution pricing with no tax (I bought from the same person/company that we're presently buying parts from; sort of a "Hi, I'm one of the tech's who puts' the pc's together that my boss buys from you...") that was pulled off with a bit of slight off hand.
Also, to top the cake, not only did I get a second duplicate for the wife but I get to put it together here at work (one gets' really spoiled when one frequently puts' together pc's in an office environment verses at home).
For those who want to know, its' a:
The motherboard is a Gigabyte P965 S series (with the new cooler-running solid capacitor design) supporting a Intel Dual Core 1.86 (Duo Core 2) processor with 1 gig of duel thread ddrII 5300 speed RAM.
Tne video card is one of the enhanced PCI Geforce 7300GT.
A Western Digital 160gb SATA hard drive.
and a DVD+/- Combo Drive (Sony 16x spd)
The motherboard is the same 'new' type of motherboard we have started using here at work so I should be familiar with anything that sneaks up (like the Bios needing flashing so it will recognize all the RAM).
