It was great spending our first Christmas with Patrick! He was fascinated by the tree, particularly the baubles. He loved the tree and I had to make sure that he didn’t eat any pine needles. He is very mobile now and can go anywhere (and everywhere) but he scoots on his back instead of crawling on his tummy. He is nearly there though.
He got his fair share of presents: here he is with a new musical toy. It is a bit big for him yet but soon it will be fine. The house will be very noisy then…

On Boxing Day we went to see Grandpa David at Yarram. He is Patrick with Uncle BJ on his first country train trip:
It is good for Patrick to get some fresh air in his lungs. We went to Port Arlington, an historic port. I have a photo of the tourist information sign so you can read all about it:
Patrick loved the beach, but not half as much as he loved Grandpa’s hat!

Then, since Patrick like the Christmas tree so much, we took him to a rain forest to see lots of trees in their natural environment.
“So this is what a tree looks like in a rain forest.”
Patrick's old booties were a bit small and kept falling off so I bought him some new ones at the Yarram craft shop. These ones are a little bit big but he didn't seem to mind.
“I still like Grandpa’s hat!”
In fact, Patrick spent most of his time eating or trying to eat Grandpa’s hat.
