My Head Is Spinning
Wow, what a weekend! I almost need to catch my breath here ... fortunately, there's LJ to help with that.
After a whirlwind weekend that included no shortage of kind, genuine birthday wishes from many of you, all I'm able to do is pause in sincere appreciation. The Lord has blessed me abundantly with several people I am honored and humbled to refer to as friends.
The calls, texts, cards, MySpace comments and eating binge gratis meals (Toni and Kelly) morphed into a P.F. Chang's trip to Charlotte with Kelly and Clive Saturday, a Sunday afternoon Daytona 500 + pizza (Will) party then ice cream gathering at Marble Slab (Katie, plus Amber with the treat) with like 20 people. It is all certainly more than I deserve and has certainly not gone unnoticed. Now begins the three-week coke binge strict diet to remove all the added weight before softball starts. I thank you and pray for His blessings for you.
The 2007 Nextel Cup season had a rough beginning for Tony Stewart today, unfortunately. He led more than 30 laps after starting 3rd and was put out of the race in a nasty wreck that was a result of good, hard racing to finish an undeserved last. Not justice, that, but it's a long season. Kevin Harvick ended up winning in what was a fantastic finish.
All of you who get tomorrow off suck. Since I don't get it, it's off to bed now to wind down and face another concert week.
