Silent Hill For the Win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yet another entry about Silent Hill by me. It's a great game series that I have rediscovered. I played the first game on the Playstation. It rocked! Walking thru a town that has a crapload of fog is fun. Getting the crap scared out of you can be fun also. For some reason, I forgot all about Silent Hill. How foolish of me. Ayumi, thank you once again! If you haven't reminded me about Silent Hill, I wouldn't know what crappy game I might have gotten. You rock! I am currently enjoying Silent Hill 2. It's a fun game. It's good to be in the fog filled town of Silent Hill. Saturday, I was in the labyrith inside the Toluca prision. I turned a corner blindly and Pyramid Head was there. He greeted me with a couple of stabs in my gut and the Game Over screen flashed in front of me. I made a mistake by not be prepared and I paid the price. Pyramid Head, I will be back soon. You will not be as lucky this time.
Last night, I stopped by the mall where I work earlier than usual. I noticed that I had some time to kill so I walked in the FYE to see what kind of stuff they had. I am like a kid in a candy store every time I walk into that place. So much wicked cool stuff in one place. I decided to get volume 3 of Black Lagoon ( a cool anime series that I like) and the Silent HIll movie!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have never seen it so hopefully Hollywood hasn't ruined another video game franchise like they did Street Fighter, Super Mario Brothers ( Dennis Hopper FTL!), Mortal Kombat ( the 1st movie rocked but the 2nd was a bit lame),Tomb Raider,and Metal Gear Solid ( I know that movie isn't out yet but I have a bad feeling that they will ruin this one.). It has Pyramid Head in it so that could be a good sign. He looks badass in this. I have seen the previews for this and it looks like it might be good. I will have to post my verdict in a future entry.
When I walked out of FYE, I noticed that I still had plenty of time before I had to clock in and work. I went to Babbage's, a great place to get video games. It is like a Gamestop or EBgames. I looked through the PSP and PS2 game sections to see what good deals they had. I saw a used copy of Silent Hill 3. It comes with the soundtrack cd of the game!!! How cool is that? The last time I was there, There wasn't a used copy of SH3 to be seen. I didn't hesitate and grabbed the case from the shelf and proceeded to the checkout counter. I quickly took out my Gamestop More card from my wallet and presented it to the cashier. She scanned the card and the game and my total was $29.01. It was worth the price to get Silent Hill 3. If you are a fan of this series and you see a used copy of a SH game, Buy it! Like I said in my last entry, Some Konami games are hard to find. I still haven't found a copy of Zone of the Enders 2. I also wished that I haven't traded in my copy of the first ZOE game.
Silent Hill Origins for the PSP is coming out on November 6! It's a prequel to the SH series. I reserved it a couple of weeks ago so I am definitely getting it. It looks like a awesome game. The graphics look great. Playing a SH game on the go is going to rock! I also ordered the Silent Hill Experience UMD a while back so I am looking forward to that also. Silent Hill 5 for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 is coming out but it will be a while until it is released. i WILL have a PS3 by the time SH5 is out.
I must apoligize for the uber long entry but I just felt like posting this. I am a fan of Silent HIll. If you like walking thru fog filled towns, meeting interesting people and creature,and like to be scared, Silent HIll is the video games series for you. Konami for the win!
