doug doesn't write much here anymore.
he visits, and checks in on others. but does not take the time to write his own thoughts.
the first two weeks of school have been pretty great. kids seem like a good team. always a few rotten apples, but mostly good seeds.
meeting new friends (other teachers)...
other friends are gone...
the friends I do have I see so rarely, though.
looking forward to thanksgiving when the missing come home...
return of the native son, so to speak...
but all in all life is good.
too many distractions still haunt the days, even after so many games have been sold, it only took the purchase of Fable to kick ADD in again.
and now there are 3 CSI shows, and reruns on every night. not to mention all the other TV shows I enjoy (Rescue Me, NFL, Chappelle, Simpsons, Sein...)
sigh.
being serious is so difficult.
I have a doctor's appt for a physical next week. think I'll ask for something to help me sleep, as I've been having a hard time of it.
then when I can sleep (on the weekends) I'm awake before dawn...even if I've been up until 1 the night before...
well, time to lesson plan..
