Spring Break

As promised, I've spent almost the entirety of my Spring Break smothered in kittens. It's a little bittersweet having babies in the house. I love fostering babies, but this is the first litter of babies since Boo-Boo passed and it's a little pokey in the heart. His box is sitting on the table just over the kennel where the babies are kept, so while he's not here to mother them, he can still watch over them. Sadie does a decent job, but I have to remind her that while she rocks the whole zealous bath-time thing, pig noise can be a little scary to babies.

They grow so fast. It seems like overnight they've figured out how to eat their crunchy foods (I wean exclusively on Royal Canin's Babycat formula), drink water, RUNRUNRUN and have adventures. They've totally found their AdventurePants and are relatively fearless.

If you know someone that's looking for one or more sweet little orange babies, let me know. I have a cross-eyed sweet little boy and a fiesty little girl. I'll have these guys for several more weeks until they're of age to be spayed. Adoptions will be handled through the RC Adoption Center.

It's still a little cold for it, but I've been itching to go camping. Spend some time out in nature, cooking outside, walking/hiking around in the profound quiet, building monumental fires and roasting marsha-marsha-marshamallows. I'm not wishing warm weather here any faster - lord knows it'll be hotter than Hades here real quick - but I just wish it was warm enough to get away. More than anything I'm dying to get away. Ever since the Gypsy Vagabond Roadtrip got sidelined I've been feeling a little cabin feverish (in the dog-ate-her-face kinda way).

I went on a second interview this morning for a job that I really really want. I feel like it went well, so I keep my fingers crossed and wait to hear back. In my head, I try to tell myself that they chose someone else so I can move on without tying my stomach up in knots while waiting. It's sort of effective.

OMG, I GOT THE JOB EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

If you'll forgive me, I have to go run around outside in my underwear right now and shout with glee at my good fortune.
