To Penny, From Desmond, PGelliotsmelliotFebruary 18 2009, 16:53:22 UTC
Written one month after their reunion.
Penny,
Since you found me, time has permanently changed. The most fleeting moments, a glimpse of your shadow against the wall, the orange peel you left on the counter, the crack and pop of your right knee when you stretch each morning, this is how my seconds, my minutes, and my hours are now measured. There is no need for clocks when there are hearts to beat in unison, inhales to match exhales, and two bodies that rise and fall with the waves. This is what you gave me, a future instead of a past, only a horizon ahead that we will meet together.

Oh, this was just so good. It might be short but it conveys so much and aw, it's so poetic really. Definitely the love letter I could totally see him writing, it's so touching that he measures time by what she does. *sighs happily* ♥
