It's like 3 in the morning and I still haven't gone to bed. Which is stupid because I have a 9 o'clock class.
I'd like to take the time to thank my friend Jonathan (even though it's higly unlikely that he'll ever read this) for recommending that I write to diffuse my emotions. It's a lot easier for me to type instead of write because it's faster and I can write as I think, which makes some of this drabble unbelievably candid. He also insisted that writing about my dreams would give me some amazing insight into my psyche. I would also like to thank another friend for recommmending that I sign up on livejournal - dude you know who you are ^_^.
So to take Jonathan's words to heart, let me describe a dream I had yesterday.
Well, I was in Meg's room, waiting for her to finish a Chemistry assignment when I fell asleep. I dreamed I was in a humongous building, even taller than the skyscraper banks downtown ^_^. I was waiting for an appointment with someone - why are details so hard to find in dreams - but I never got to see who I was supposed to meet. Neither did the young girl sitting beside me - who was, oddly enough, an animated cartoon character randomly designed by my mind. Somehow we knew our appointments were canceled, so we walked down the hall together towards the elevator.
On our way, we encountered an adolescent boy talking to what appeared to be Goofy (weird huh?) about some antiques he'd accidentally thrown away. Goofy was explaining to the young man that if you put a certain mark on your belongings, then if they were thrown away, and a garbage person found them, the mark was a universal symbol which meant: "Don't throw me away, I belong to 'insert owner here'." He was demonstrating on one of the boy's 'antiques', which was a green plastic inflatable chicken! >_< Oi... More weirdness.
The young girl and I finally managed to reach the elevator, and it was a wonderful experience because it turned out to be a super express elevator with transparant glass walls. My companion and I enjoyed a few minutes of freefall before decelerating. When the doors opened, the elevator somehow flung us into the corridor in the direction of a nice restaurant - which happened to be on the first floor - and we floated into swiveling chairs around a swiveling table inside the restaurant, and despite the somewhat tacky - yet comfortable - chairs and tables, the restaurant managed to be rather tasteful. It was well lit, and all the peices of furniture were in light earth colors. The only truly odd feature in the restaurant was that it was completely carpeted, even in the kitchen. Anyways, we were served a very nice looking bread which looked like a combination of a bagel and pita - flat wide bagel-like bread ^_^ - and before I could enjoy myself further, I awoke. That sucked.
I enjoy my dreams; they are usually very vivid, very positive, and the colors and details are so real. Some of my best story ideas are products of my dreams. I will definitely think about this one and see if I can uncover any 'underlying truths' about myself and the people with whom I share my life.
Hmmm.... this was a rather lengthy entry. Ah well, I'll probably drop by later today.
Good night ^_^
...Good morning...
Whatever
Scripture for the moment - Hebrews 11:1-3,6
1. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2. For by it the elders obtained a good report. 3. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.... 6. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
