color my world

Jun 15, 2016 20:48

A fellow I know recently appeared in public wearing a navy blue t-shirt and green camouflage tumor cargo shorts. The combination struck me as not ideal, and I advised him to reconsider this ensemble for future outings. He insisted that "navy is a neutral, like black."

What do you think, TQC? Is navy a neutral?

Navy isn't the problem with that outfit imo.

No. Navy goes with a lot of things, but not everything.

Camouflage, on the other hand, does not go with anything.

I am visualizing this outfit in my head and while camo is ugly, I don't see anything wrong with the color combination. Navy goes with lots of things. Green camo and navy blue aren't going to clash.

Navy might be neutral, but camouflage has definitely taken a side in the fashion war.

Though honestly, I think people raise their hackles about too many things with fashion. In my head, his outfit doesn't sound that bad.

Navy is most definitely not neutral.
