Using dial up means having to share the internet connection w my 3 other roomies.
It sucks when you r too used to wireless back at home. And it shows how technology dependent we are! Had my BEC orientation this morning (which is Singapore night time, haha).
Learnt more about Seaworld and the parent company Anhesur Busch, ( I forget the spelling, haha) and tt made me appreciate everything about Seaworld, the working culture, the mission, etc.
In fact, AB is a beer making enterprise (if u have heard of Budweisser before).
Seaworld, tgt with Discovery Cove and Aquatica are so pro environmental/ wildlife conservation that it feels so moral for me to work here, albeit it being a summer job.
Google all these 3 theme parks to find out more!
Discovery Cove is the most exp one.
A ticket is USD300! Cos u get to swim with dolphins and enjoy quality amenities.
The place is so atas, they cap at only 1000 visitors a day.
Aquatica is the latest attraction in Orlando, which also belongs to AB. It’s a water theme park with loads of rides, and artificial beaches.
I don’t tink I can explain v well cos I’ve yet to go there!
Apparently their signature ride is the tube rides tt we usually take, just tt the tubes are transparent and u get to see dolphins swimming around.
It will feel like Underwater World, where u usually take a travelator to view the sea creatures, just tt this time round u are sliding down! Hahaha. Awesomeness.
Best thing is, we have free entrance into Universal Studio, Seaworld, Aquatica, Island of Fantasy and BUSCH Gardens Africa!!
FREE OK!
So tentatively, I just have to pay for my Disney tickets, but my frens said to exchange our Seaworld passes w those Hongkongers working at Disney.
SO I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
Did I mention tt Orlando is so inaccessible?!
We hv to wait so long for a trolly, and cabs are just to expensive to take, cos almost everyone drives.
So it’s better for us to get a bicycle and commute around, if not rent a car!
A Chrysler here is only USD 55 a day! cool eh. Still, I hate the transport in Orlando! Yikey.
Oooh ya, I got a US line here. They have v flexible plans that I think Singapore shld adopt, cos it’s v convenient for us tourists! :D
Just got back from Festival Bay, and Prime. Man, everywhere is shopping madness, with some many outlets, just like Premium, with brands like Guess, CK, Nine West, F21, Coach, Banana Republic, Nike, Adidas, Fossil, Bebe, Ralph Lauren, just to name a few.. and other American brands tt are super super cheap which I’ve yet to explore.
Hmmm, getting very excited and less homesick! :D miss my family loads. Lindy will be in San Francisco around this time, but I doubt she has the time to travel down to meet me. It’s just tooo lay chey.
That aside, hopefully all the talks bout driving down to Miami beach, skydiving, gg to Bahamas will come true!
We will be heading to Aquatica tmr! :DD
