when the lives we live are only golden-plated.

Oh man, my family.

Anyway, I'm back. Alive! With swag and pictures (someday, I will relate the story of how all my electronic devices are now called Patrick. Actually, that's pretty much it. Bask in my extreme dorkitude).

On Thursday, the day after my last entry, we went to Vulcan and yeah. That was kind of awesome. We missed their Trek convention by a week. Sadface! I got a TOS uniform patch with the science/medical branch logo (and a shot glass. And considered stealing the Quark's menu some other geek had stolen from Vegas). It's on my green hoodie now. Again, with the dorkitude.

Lastly, JEWEL STAITE is going to be the BC Browncoats' V.V. Special Guest at the Can't Stop The Serenity screening next weekend. She'll be introducing the film and presenting door prizes, I believe. Hopefully in her SGA uniform, but probably not. More sadfaces.

what: Serenity
when: Saturday, June 23, 1:45PM
where: Pacific Cinematheque, 1131 Howe Street, Vancouver, BC
how much: $15 via PayPal (at the bottom of the page, plus one dollar service charge), at the door, or at Happy Bats (198 E. 15th Avenue).
why: To benefit Equality Now, a global NGO which works toward ending violence and discrimination against people born with female parts. Last year, this event raised nearly sixty thousand dollars (SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS) worldwide. We can do better, and we will.

Or, you know, just come watch a really awesome movie on the big screen. It's not every day you get a chance to look up Nathan Fillion's nose. Scifi forever! You can't take the sky from me!

Okay. My desk is a total mess. I should go do something about that.

The end!

Bye.
