Passover starts on April 3 here in the Diaspora (three weeks from this coming Tuesday). I'd like to have a
seder at my house. I've never hosted a seder before, so this should be a field day.
estrellada has consented to help me plan/cook/invite people, because she's the best big brother ever (but not as bestest as I am a little brother, thank you).
We're going vegetarian, not stringently kosher (because I'm not really; I don't eat pork or shellfish, but that's about it). Tentative plan is to do a bit of a potluck, with two or three major dishes cooked by us.
I'm putting together a Franken
haggadah from a few different ones I like (egalitarian, social justice-oriented, with mostly traditional prayers/scripture/music). Copies will be provided because I'm OC like that. eta: Oh god, I'm Jeremy. Glasses and all.
Anyone who's interested in attending and/or helping out should let me know. Passover is considered an excellent time to welcome non-Jewish people into one's home, and my appreciation of the holiday is a lot more about universal freedom and celebrating an attempt at civil disobedience (didn't work, but still) than about religiousness. So.
Bye.
PS: I really need to up one of my nice Jewish icons. Crikey.
