flashlights are way cool
Congrats to all the vocalists of Cardinal Carter! Vocal night was really nice. Its actually the first time Ive ever been in the audience of a choral performance because usually its me onstage with my choir mates! Its a hard thing to do. Especially the neverending standing concerts where you try not to faint/barf (some kids at CCOC have failed at that in the past). Its a hard job indeed. But fun!!!! Who wants to see me in Carousel this year? Haha, its such a random musical. With songs about clambakes. And June, busting out all over. Alessia says this is highly offensive to anyone in the audience who happens to be named June.
But anyways back to tonight. I'd say the highlights had to be all the beautiful solos (like Meehooow's!), Joyful Joyful (which was kinda funny how they loosened their ties and it was neat that they added drums + bass). And the flashlight piece - really effective i wanna have a flashlight party, GUY! And Alex, your solo was sooooo gorgeous I love your voice! It really moved me.
So there we were. The visual artists. In the corner. We had to sell art raffle tickets/leftover food and giftshop wares from Art Night. It was alright. At one point we attempted to make up a raffle ticket selling song in the spirit of Vocal Night. The attempt was fruitless. But it was cool that we got front row seats for free. Chelsea and I think that the Visual Artists should make a musical number sometime WOULDNT THAT BE GREAT??!! I know everyone would come to see that.
Jeez Aviva and Martina both went to Arcade Fire! I must go to a concert soon. I actually REALLY want to see Death From Above, Jules said they are coming to town soon so we. will. see. ------Nico
