Well well well.
Here we are. Its one of those times in life where everything is so jumbled and all over the place I dont even know where to start. Julia Came over today and we listened to the radio in my room in the D-A-R-K D-A-R-K DARK DARK DARK is like a movie. A movie's like a show. A show is like a tv set and that is all I know. Oh how I love that Jules. I had such a ball the night of her birthday party. Springrolls, yumm. And much thanks to Chau we had a lovely night of movie watching. In a dark room Rachelle, Nelson, (a.k.a Rachelson) Cheryl, Jules, Caroline, Chau, Michal, Matt and I were cornered with nowhere to escape by the terrors of.....
ERASERHEAD!
It was quite...artistic. To say the least. I enjoyed it I must say. I also enjoyed Matt scaring Cheryl on the way home. Heh. So I hope you had a wonderful 17th Birthday Julia, we love you so.
That very same day, I got my hair cut by Robin Black. He is awesome and nice. And he knows Crackpuppy! We bonded big time. He's sexy.
Robin Black.
Feist Tuesday night was the bomb. Thanks to the gang for saving a spot in line so we secured primo seats. As we walked to said primo seats (3rd row, center) I turned around to see Feist walking behind me, talking with Aviva. Cuz you know, those two are tight. Yeah so we totally talked to Feist jigga-yup. And she proceeded to rock out. Martina you took some kick ass pictures, good job. Jason Collett I love you and your hip huggers and ability to make me weak in the knees. Ive just started listening to Apostle of Hustle and I like I like! Ok thats enough indie hipster type rambling.
Oh but one more musical note: BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD!!!! Oh my their greatest hits album is my joy. "Mr Soul" and "Expecting to Fly" are some faves. I want to sing "Expecting to Fly" as a duet with someone. Perhaps my secret duet partner? You know who you are.
Aviva wrote me a letter and I read it in choir and it made me laugh. OGNIDP. OMFG! WTF?
Right so I've been reading some interesting graphic novels lately. One I would really recommend for the Halloween season is "Peculia" by Richard Sala. These are the adventures of a mysterious and beautiful young woman who meets various scary creatures. Zombies, witches, evil children, all that good stuff. She sure tears her dress in all the right places while fighting the bad guys. Its what they call "gothic humor." Another interesting one is "Scott Pilgrim," a truly odd manga - like comic set in Toronto in the indie band scene with lots of random fights and funny moments.
I'll do my graphic novel one day guys. Then everything will make sense. And this is yet another self indulgant artist signing out.
