As The Curtain Raises...
SCOTT: *walking to the library*
COP CAR: *slowly coming my direction, beginning to turn*
ANGRY BLACK MAN: *walking across the street and shouting*
COP CAR: *slowly going toward man*
ABM: *gets to sidewalk, spreads arms out in Christ-like pose, walking away from cop. With arms extended, drops trash he has in hands on to the ground and continues walking, egging on the cop*
CC: *pulls over....female cop gets out of car*
ABM: *walking across vacant lot*
COP: "Sir, can I have a word with you?"
ABM: *shouting something indistinct and continuing to walk away*
COP: *talks in to the radio on her shoulder and continues to follow the man*
ABM: *continuing to shout while changing his direction and now walking in the same direction I am, but across the street*
SCOTT: *gripping his cell phone in his pocket*
COP: "Sir..."
ABM: *turning around and yelling at cop with his arms out* "COME ON! COME ON!"
COP: *pulling out a stun gun, the cool kind that shoot an electrode at the target...er...bad guy*
SCOTT: *pulls out phone, turns on video function, dreams of the whole $45 a local news station will pay him for footage of a black man being shot with a taser by a white female cop*
COP: *points gun at assailant and continues walking toward him as he walks backward*
More chatting between the two.
SCOTT: *getting impatient for his race war*
ABM: *sits on curb and continues babbling*
COP: "You got a warrant out for you? Do you have your ID on you?"
ABM: "I don't care!" *more incoherent yelling*
SCOTT: *sighing and putting phone back in pocket*
Two other police vehicles show up as Scott passes the angry black man and TJ Hooker's partner.
COPS: *pulling out handcuffs and struggling with angry black man, trying to get him up*
SCOTT: *getting his phone back out in a rush*
Squabbling and shouting as homeless people watch.
SCOTT: *irritated that he can't get a good shot now that trees are in the way*
Angry black man is put in to car.
Scott realizes that angry black man most-likely had a warrant for his arrest, and he fit a description. Scott shakes his head and thinks the guy was dumb to do the blatant littering. At least make the cop WORK for an excuse to corner and question you.
Alas...no $45 for a police-shooting-black-man video.
