I haven't really done a lot of Christmas cards this year. Sorry. :( With work and everything, it's just been hectic. I have sent out a few. I always like to write some quirky in the cards, whether they be going to a childhood friend, a co-worker, or an aunt or uncle. I just finished writing one to my friend Jimmy and his wife Tabitha. Jimmy and I have known each other since we were about 5. Grade school, high school, college, bands, his wedding....we've been together. So when I started writing in his card, I ended up taking up one whole side of the card. This is what I wrote...
SPRIGLERS!
WOW! Where to begin? Let's see...
The new job is going well. The kids are doing great. George Oscar is 6 and loves school and all things "Transformers." Samuel Thomas is 3 and a half and just a ball of energy. But put on 'Go! Diego! Go!', give him a juice box...and he's frozen still for 30 minutes. Needless to say, I own about 9 Diego DVDs. HA HA HA!
Overall, we're doing great. The kids are adjusting well. They asked a lot of questions at first, but I finally got them to settle down by telling them that Karen is away on a reality TV show, and we'll see her when it ends. I know I should tell them about their mother, but I just want to wait until the body is found. A severed foot and a few broken fingernails isn't enough for me. There was something else the coroner said "resembles a spleen" but I refuse to lose faith. The chunks of hair DID match Karen's hair color, but the teeth they found looked a bit yellow and like a smoker's. Karen doesn't even smoke! And so to me, that's a sign from God. Anyhoo...
HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Scott
I wanted to post a picture of the card, but there's no way you'd be able to read it with the resolution. Heh heh. I can't wait to hear back from Jimmy. Every year, he says he proudly displays my card.
Have a wonderful holiday!
