Uryuu Ishida -- part 3 stolz_des December 14 2009, 17:09:23 UTC
Character Personality: Uryuu has a strong sense of honour and pride in his lineage, making sure to ingratiate his heritage as a Quincy into almost every aspect of his life. He would be considered patriotic in his alliegance, if he wasn't one of the last two remaining. He holds a deep-seated respect for his deceased grandfather, who he owes for all his Quincy training and most of his emotional support in his childhood.

After his grandfather was killed by Shinigami, Uryuu gained a powerful hatred and prejudice for all Shinigami, although he continually assists Ichigo and his team. Even after months in Ichigo's company, fighting by his side, he still refuses to admit they are even friends and goes to great lengths to make excuses for why he is still assisting him, such as that Ichigo is merely a substitute and often acts against the orders of Soul Society.

He is a quiet and polite boy at school, very academically minded and among the top of his class. He enjoys needlework and is a prominent member of the arts and crafts club, especially enjoying designing and making women's clothing. He believes in chivalry, and has been heard to say he will always punish a man who mistreats women. Despite being quite scathing in his conversation to enemies sometimes he very rarely attacks to kill, preferring to fight to wound and incapacitate instead - although he will fight to kill if he must.

He is fiercely protective over Inoue, and she is possibly the only one he would admit to himself he was fond of (although he'd be far too shy to admit that aloud).

Conditional: Personality development in previous game: N/A

Character Plans: Uryuu will probably get heavily involved with the plot, wanting to stop the corruption on both sides and protect the less battle-ready residents from the dead souls at night.

He will most likely make a lot of enemies on both sides of the fence, and get a name for himself as an annoying do-gooder. To earn money, he will probably attempt a job as a Greeter to make sure new arrivals are safe, or offer protection to those who need to be out at night.

Uryuu Ishida -- part 4 stolz_des December 14 2009, 17:10:33 UTC
First Person Sample: [A video begins, revealing a stern looking young man with glasses that refract the light at odd angles, making it difficult to truly see what he is thinking.]

You will not cloud my mind with illusions, Aizen.

Third Person Sample: Uryuu landed hard on his knees in the middle of a baseball diamond, wondering for a split second if he was delusional from blood-loss. But one quick check over his own body revealed that Inoue’s shun-shun-rikka had down their work admirably.
A moment was spent in contemplation of his left hand, flexing the digits and making sure he had everything in working order - it was essential to know in case of a fight.
Once he was satisfied, hunter blue eyes began to properly scan his surroundings, a dingy looking baseball court with crude graffiti. Well, this was certainly not Las Noches, and one sweep of his reiatsu indicated no sign of his friends.

His jaw tightened as he stood and brushed the dirt from his white uniform, still stained with blood and gore from his stomach and wrist. This must be an illusion, some residual trick of Aizen’s - or perhaps even a leftover trap from that monstrous Szayel-Aporro.
A step further forward, and something fell from his sleeve to skitter across the ground in front of him. A cell phone, how odd...
Refusing to show his discomfort or trepidation, Uryuu picked it up and flicked it open, deliberately choosing the video option so his captors could see that a Quincy had more pride than to cower in fear.

He would show Aizen his illusions held no power over him.

Revision Request thepull_mods December 14 2009, 17:38:28 UTC
We appreciate your interest in Siren's Pull and the effort you've put into your application.

However, we'd like to request a little revision before you can be accepted into the game.

The mods agree that your application was very well done and seems very in-character, but we'd like to see a bit more detail in the first person sample. This can be in actions or descriptions if he wouldn't say more, since we know Ishida is a quiet character, especially from this point in canon.

Please do this revision in the next week in order to get your application fully processed. You may contact a mod or reply to this comment if you have further questions about the revision request.

Thanks again!

Alrighty roo, sorry about that...

First person revision: [A video begins, revealing a stern looking young man with glasses that refract the light at odd angles, making it difficult to truly see what he is thinking. His voice is crisp and clear, unhurried as though to make sure that every word was heard and taken in.]

You will not cloud my mind with illusions, Aizen.

[The thought struck him that he may not be alone here, if it was a trap then the close proximity of both Kurosaki and Inoue would suggest they were here as well.]

Kurosaki? Inoue-san? If either of you hear me, please respond.
