Looked at banjos at McCabe's today *drools*. Probably going back to do the same tomorrow. I've decided that an open-back is the way to go, since I mostly play in groups of friends where the resonator on the one I'm borrowing makes me far too loud (pretty embarrassing when you can't really play yet), but haven't made up my mind on anything else.
I am freaking out a little about graduating (I've basically screwed myself and decided that I have to do music), and today I've been thinking about where I want to move afterwards. Here is my shortlist.
Los Angeles, CA (kinda a given)
Portland, OR
Austin, TX
Nashville, TN
San Francisco, CA
Brooklyn, NY (with probably everyone else from Oberlin/the world)
Any national/state park near L.A. with my friend Molly
Edinburgh, Scotland (probably not, that's the insanity speaking)
Thoughts? And do any of you other seniors know where you're headed?
