My feeling about the uproar is the fact that he chose Warren for the most prestigious ceremony, with others of differing beliefs also getting a part and recognizing that all get their say (and participation) in the various activities. Selecting Warren was a bit of a nod and an olive branch to his right-wing-conservative-nut-job critics, proving that he can and will be non-partisan and inclusive to all parties. I accept that, I even admire it a bit. But looking at Warren’s beliefs, I wish he would have chosen someone more middle of the road, tolerant and inclusive themselves for that particular honor.
