don van vliet aka captain beefheart died today. bummer. he hasn't done music since the year i was born, but it's still sad to see a true individual artist go.
today was also the 11th anniversary of the first richard prior show at the hood river armory (dec. 17, 1999). HISTORY. the following shitty photo is from that night:
shaky hands practice today as well. all five of us again. we INSERTED "summer's life" into the new year's eve set today. we only played it once. it is insanely easy.
