today was another laying low kind of day. i took in my and alyssa's ballots to the belmont library. i love voting, but alyssa doesn't have the patience for midterm elections so i had to fill out her ballot for her, voting democrat down the line, only consulting her about the measures. there was one measure that we disagreed on (i don't even remember which one now--we did this at least a couple weeks ago). i love election nights. this is a pretty up in the air election, even in oregon. i'm looking forward to refreshing three websites every five minutes tomorrow night.
i spent a while finishing up the banana stand mixes for
ether circus and
the greater midwest. i don't feel like ether circus was my best work, but there's only so much you can do with a "circus punk" band. everything was recorded well as usual, but the snare tended to get lost in a sea of hi-hat during the heavy/fast parts. i hate that. nuffin i can do about it.
the greater midwest stuff i did today was just more revisions. one of the dudes (shawn) lives at the nanner stand house, so louie and him really got down to the nitty gritty with this one, which made it sound rad. it's a great set. they're 90s style poppy college rocky stuff. solid stuff. my favorite is "clean sheets are important."
what's a neck brace?
