Adaptations aside, it should not be so easy to throw one's own culture to the wind at the sight of a Christmas tree and roast dinner. I can't even tell which are real and which seem to be based solely on sales.
And I hate this calendar with its ridiculous Latin months that seem to be named in the wrong order. There was nothing wrong with the lunar cycle. How am I meant to celebrate anything (that is to say, my own celebrations and not this modern nonsense) properly when I don't know what time of the year it's supposed to be? Someone please just put the year back the right way round.
