o14. it's been one week;

I have found myself a temporary place as a part-time classroom assistant at a school for children with mental disabilities (Achilles, I have to use my 'maiden' name for this job--'Dr Carver' frightens the children). That is to say, it is replacing my job as a Counsellor while I take a refresher course on the PhD that I apparently already have... while teaching myself the fundamentals of said PhD I can't manage this. It's a 'rolling course' so I don't have to wait until the next academic year to begin and it's flexible so I can still work. I start in a month, my new job starts in two weeks... and my current one finishes at the end of this week. Everything seems to fit in neatly. I still feel like I'm changing too much at once.

I do, however, have to catch up on a fair amount of reading--if the gentlemen of the house could bear with me and my Psychology library for the time being, I would be much obliged.

... How can you tell if a puppy is gaining weight too quickly?

feeling good for once, just for the record..., an addition to the family, i can deal with fate, working with children
