a tough call
Well, as hard as it was for me, i cancelled by $389.99 RCA RD2780 audio/visual jukebox. It was a sad moment for me. I usually just up and buy the latest and greatest and worry about probems later. However, after reading a very nice in depth review comparing the rca with the archos (another vid player), the rca was put to shame with the OS and picture. HOwever, I must note, that most of the problems, can be solved by firmware updates. ::sigh:: in anycase, i will not buy it as of this moment. The firmware updates as of right now do not meet up to my standards as well as the standards of those with a more valid tech opinion. So it's either I get the famed iPod (with free laser engraving from apple. mine will say 'awesome') and join Miles in iPod glory, use the unspent money on my custom pc (brings my total to $750...just $250 more to go after that), or wait till 2nd half of 2004 when a slew of vid players from reputable companies (Samsung and iRiver on the top of the list) go on the market with very excellent specs and lookin sweet. ah...the life of a tech nerd. as an other option, i could scrap the whole thing and just outfit myself in the latest skateboard goodness. ...buy several desks to be on the safe side....
Today my friend came over and had a deal for me...do 10 online assignments for him for 50 bux. american government. hmmm, ive taken this class already so i felt i was up to it. i havent checked out the workload but he assures me its easy as hell. he's just lazy and such. ah. more money for me. if i do this extra credit thing for him (read 115 page book n answer these questions and such) he'll throw in an extra 50. Ha...sweet deal. just right now he called me and told me the book was 'anthem' yes!!! 50 bux here i come. i read that book in martins and loved. awesome. o man...so much closer to my pc....i can taste it! wee!! im happy now. cant wait to get my moolah. well im gunna go so i can get started on it. ive got 2 weeks.
