Okay. I am still so shaky from this...
I was checking out number 32. Then I left. 5:20.
Driving down Main St.
Red Hot Chili Peppers are singing.. "tell me baby whats your story" lalalala.
Third street.
Green light.
Middle.
See another car opposite my direction making a left turn.
WTF!!
I swerve to the right, trying to avoid it.
BAM.
Oh shit.
This is not happening is it?
My manager comes as I stand there, still shaken. No one was hurt. Thank god. But why would this happen to me? My day was fine... I had my red hat. I got that A on the presentation. Not spectacular, but something. And then some uninsured man of mexican decent with no ID comes crashing in. "I need to buy food for my boss" he says after the incident. I tell him "Sir, you just hit my car". "I have to go to Super A to buy food", he replied. He didn't worry much because it wasn't his car. I guess his boss told him to drive. Damn guy.
I stand there. My hands turn hard from the cold. It was damn cold. I had no idea what to do.Get insurance? i was late for work. Six minutes late. I called my manager and he came. He called the cops. And they came. It was an hour long process. My boss and I were freezing to death as the cops investigated and questioned the other driver.
Still shaken from it. It's bad, but not deadly bad. I was at the wrong place at the wrong time. I hope the insurance thing works out. But this will surely affect me and my driving. No more driving. It's scary... especially after the news of Jennifer Ho's death and everything. It's scary.
I called my dad and he was calm. Thank god. I'm shaking still. Great. My three day weekend will now be distorted and clouded by this unfortunate event.
