How wonderful it must be, to look this grumpy and yet be loved by everything that has a heart. So quaint. This effortless charm in condescending, nonchalant eyes.
For non-Aussies, the Easter Show is like a petting zoo combined with a carnival. It's quite amazing with all sorts of animals and displays and games and rides and food.
I went expecting to finish in half a day but it was sunset when we trudged out of the Olympic Park. Yes, where the Olympics happened in Sydney :D I can only imagine.
Doesn't it remind you of Madagascar? If you followed me on
Twitter, you would have known that the night before, I was flabbergasted at having to wake up at 730am to go pet pigs D: I live far away from the Olympic Park.
Went to play third wheel to these two. Well-- not really, you'll see.
I don't know if Rachel or I was the 3rd wheel :D Her giraffe. I couldn't find a lion.
1st stop was the dog show but err-- too many breeds and too many participants. I got bored which explains this photo. Big guy, softie :D
The mostest adorable puppies outside a CAT SHOW LOL I don't know either.
5 months old and fucking adorable. Softest paw and obviously in love with attention.
Rachel insisted on seeing pigs race and dive. I missed it because err-- they were too fast. Bloody pigs :D The commentator was hilarious. Sounded like a machine gun. Apparently pigs racing is very popular down under. Nearly a decade of history? IDK.
Alpacas which I mistook for llamas. Strange mix of sheep and-- idk. There was also a Alpaca fashion show which I couldn't work up any desire to watch properly.
The funniest Alpaca which just sat there the entire time we were cooing and ahhhing. Had that bunch of grass in its mouth even after we left. It just-- wasn't hungry I guess LOL Or maybe it was posing and no it wasn't a statue, I'm sure I'll know :D
Another weird one. IDK if that's how their legs are supposed to be like but-- /shrug.
sukuishi saw a cow pee the moment we walked into the barn. Her horror is delicious. On a side note, the cows are seriously huge. Crushingly huge. Like the pigs and sheep and the tallest horse in the world - Noddy.
I seriously wanted to ride one of those carriages. Pity they weren't for hire.
You probably can't tell what this is but it's Toyota's trucks racing nose to nose, back to back with one on 2 wheels. It was quite amazing. Precision and speed all in one sleek package. Stunt driving and bikers and too much rubber burnt. Good PR for Toyota :D
A fire breathing robot dinosaur. The fire was srsly hot. Not very impressive since it goes on wheels instead of-- you know, chom chom feet chom crash boom, that kind of legs. It ate 2 cars though. Charred them till they were well done. Funny commentator too :D
Next to the crazy coaster (that we decided to challenge even though 2 out of 4 in the party had heights phobia). This ride was srsly insane. Shoes were flying :D
Haunted house because we had too many game tickets to spend. The girl's make up was quite amazing. Was surprised that it was a ride since I thought it would be more fun if we had to walk through it. Fortunately (or unfortunately) it was a kinda mild for my standards (and do know I have no guts for such stuff) except for the ending. Totally didn't expect this guy to be so close to me, whisper-shouting:
GIMME A KISS.
O my /shiver
Dumped the pseudo love birds for the bath room. They ended up in this /evil grin. I would post a picture of them but I value my dorm life more than I admit.
Flower show :D As if I'll miss the winning flowers of Australia <3 My mom would love it.
My partner in crime. Thank god.
In short, easter was good and how the hell did my 2nd week of holiday pass so quickly?
In other news, I'm drowning in books about football (zero word count), cut my hair (again), sang for a guitar, ate the best
Bak Chor Mee in Sydney (I miss real home food), got sunburnt, got a chest inflammation, lost 3 test tubes of blood, watched GLEE and played with an iPad. Also because of excessive shopping, would anyone be interested in taking up the clothes I have that have never been worn (shipping on your part that is).
Oh! I think I'm in love (Akizuki Yojiro) and it's all
argentum_luna's fault.
And I have not caught up with fandom. WTH Christine. Where are your priorities?
