I have a tendency to acquire doubles of the same item, be it doujinshi, books/magazines or clothes (rare though) and since I'm spring cleaning to move (not very far), I've set out stuff that I want to let go and if nobody wants them, I'll just donate to the Salvation Army. Some items cost nothing (or next to nothing) but you need to pay for shipping. The rest, I'm asking for probably a fraction of the price I bought them in.
Books
#1 Dean Koontz; Life Expectancy; 550pages; paperback; A5
I have a thing for thrillers and Dean Koontz has always been underrated in this genre.
Life Expectancy follows the life of Jimmy Tock, a talented baker whose grandfather died at the moment of his birth leaving behind a prophetic legacy of the dates of five terrible events which will unfold in the newborn Jimmy's future. The novel then goes through those dates in Jimmy's life, skipping the time in-between them, but filling in the gaps with personal narrative. I'm not going to give away the plot in what is essentially a thriller, but the prophecy that drives the plot is the only supernatural element in the novel, and it is really more of a character study and darkly humorous crime thriller.

#2 Louis Bayard; Mr Timothy; 385pages; paperback; slightly smaller than A4
I bought this becos' it said 'A Dickensian Thriller' & I love both, the rest is history.
It is Christmas and Mr. Timothy Cratchit, not the pious child the world thought he was, has just buried his father. Timothy's life takes a sharp turn when he discovers the bodies of two dead girls, each seared with the same cruel brand on the upper arm. The sight of their horror-struck faces compels Timothy to become the protector of another young girl, Philomela, from the fate the others suffered at the hands of a dangerous and powerful man. A different kind of Christmas story, this breathless flight through the teeming markets, shadowy passageways, and rolling brown fog of 1860s London would do Dickens proud for its surprising twists and turns, and its extraordinary heart.

Magazines
#5 Wink up magazine; March 2008; 200 pages; slightly smaller than an A4
A hyper visual magazine for girls, featuring SMAP, Kat-tun, Hey! Say! JUMP, NEWS, Arashi and even a little of the TeniMyu actors (Shirota, Seto Koji, etc). I think the only reason why I got this was because of my NEWS craze. The inner spreads have all my favourite eye candy (MatsuJun, Kame, Yamapii, Takuya, etc). Pull out posters of Kame & Yamapi included.

#6 Cool-up magazine; Volume 5; 82 pages; slightly bigger than an A4
A stylish men's magazine for fangirls, boasting Shirota as the cover model and Aiba/Kimeru at the back
(looking cosy). I obsessively collected Cool-Up because of the high quality paper and quality of the spreads. It feels like a photobook than a magazine. This issue features alot of TeniMyu actors (D-boys, Kazuki, Yanagi, Seto, amongst many others) and the pull out posters of Takeru and Shirota included. Imported.

(pretty boy). This issue features most of the Myu boys (as usual) Aiba (autumn shoot with animals!), Takeru, Nakamura, Run&Gun, Takuya, Ruito and best of all? Kiriyama (Tenimyu Marui). Pull out posters of Takeru & Nakamura included. Imported.

#8 Cool-up magazine; Volume 6; 82 pages; slightly bigger than an A4
A stylish men's magazine for fangirls, boasting Takeru as the cover model and Araki at the back
(winter look). This issue features more Myu boys like Araki, D-boys, Yanagi, Kazuki, Aiba, Kiriyama, Seto, and others. I personally liked the 2nd Araki (punkrock?) spread and the Aiba (in suit!) spread best. Kiriyama works casual wear well here ;D First issue of 2008. Pull out posters of Aiba & Araki included. Imported.
