I don't remember when I wrote this and I have a feeling that I won't complete it but it's just sitting in my folder, un-named and taking up space so bear with me let me practise some 5927 in lieu of writing khrminibang

I have a lot of other things I need to talk about but I need to get the rusty fic wheels going soon. Too many ideas and too little words. I need to stop watching SuJu D;

Dedicated to caelestin the koala to my tree and to akaru_hana, I'm glad you're home and besides nobody likes 5927 like they do... oh wait--

There's only so much I can take
And I just got to let it go
And who knows I might feel better
If I don't try and I don't hope.

“Lean on me.”

Gokudera leaves no room for doubt in his voice and Tsuna feels his chest swell. There is hope in the half Italian’s gaze, begging to be seen. The brunette thinks everything about the other is painfully obvious. The side he has chosen, unquestionable faith and adoration, blatant like loyalty in sharpest emerald gaze.

“Please.”

It is no order, not ever. Gokudera will never dream of insubordination. It is a desperate plea. Won’t you lean on me? Tsuna hears him clearly, and then some. Because hidden in his quiet request are more insecurities waiting to be allayed.

Gokudera’s hands rise, torn between control and desire.

“Jyuudaime.”

A heart skip. A gasp lost in the blood rush to his head. Emerald imprinted in dying embers and a breath caught in his throat.

“No, Gokudera-kun.” The brunette shakes a head, letting kindest smile meet surprised gaze.

No, I won’t. Instead, Tsuna takes a step closer for the first time. It is their game of chess and the white king moves into place, shelter and shield behind his knight. His shoulders brush Gokudera’s hand purposefully halfway. It cements his resolve.

Tsuna lifts a hand to his cheek and Gokudera covers it with his. A sign of compromise or a last ditch attempt at maintaining status quo, they may never know.

It is quiet, too quiet. A stalemate. Waiting and waiting. Why won't you lean on me?

“I won’t if you don’t.” There is an edge of finality in his words and emerald eyes flash at him, a quiet sort of happiness.

Tsuna's hand moves, fingers tracing cheek to jaw, down to the curve of Gokudera’s neck. Where his fingers stop, his feet take over and it is another step forward where it becomes breath on breath, eye to eye and the longest bout of silence.

But the brunette is tired of waiting. So Tsuna pulls himself higher, tipping toes and tilted heads.

On a side note, borrowed_word is my new fic journal which may become more like a fandom journal since I clutter this LJ with too much of my crazy kpop tendencies. Not everyone is a slash RPS fan so I figured better GTFO a bit, restrain ;D Feel free to ignore or friend as will, no pressure. HI GUYS I AM BACK ON THE NET!
