Merlin & Arthur @ Bonfire Night
A quick, colour pencil on black sugar paper, drawing of Merlin & Arthur (or Bradley & Colin, if that's what you'd prefer) enjoying the firework display on Bonfire Night......
Okay, so it's not a masterpiece.... Quite the opposite in fact! lol This is just something I had in mind since I went to my local firework show on Bonfire Night and had to scribble it down...literally. lol I am SO tempted to apologise for the general messiness of this drawing (in fact I was tempted not to put it on LJ at all! lol) but this is how it looked in my head so *.*......Oh, which reminds me... I think you can probably tell, but this is officially my first original drawing! *gasps!* The only reference I used was my memory and imagination (and what a strange thing that was for me to do!) but I'm quite pleased with the end result. Thanks to everyone who commented on my last drawing, who suggested that I try to do an original drawing. It gave me the push I needed to give it a try! :) I think I still prefer doing detailed portraits but this was a refreshing change, especially since it only took me an hour to do. lol
And well, this was also just a massive excuse for me to play around with my new colour pencil set! >.< he he So.... what do you think? I hope you like it for the seasonal relevance, if nothing else, and I hope you had a brilliant November 5th! (Sorry if you're not British and therefore don't celebrate Bonfire Night. Perhaps you can think of this as a New Year picture instead....?)
