I believe the chaos of the last day or so have shown how powerful words can be in drawing people either to or against others. The Reverend has used his words to poison people’s thoughts against the Import population. He has used caused an outcry in the world that means to do much harm to all of you, but yet, he did not succeed in Truth or Consequences.
The people here could see behind the lies. Probably because we are such a tiny town we could see the positive impact imports have done for our community. Jobs have been created, something this town sorely needed for so long. The crime rate has dropped significantly, and we’ve been noted on the map for our very own singing sensation and even an art contestant.
I know I am not one of you, but I think what needs to happen, after the rebuilding of your homes has started, is to somehow come up with a way to show the positives of you being here to the rest of the world. If it can happen in our little backwater town, then I believe it could happen somewhere as diverse as Manhattan or Seattle.
[OOC: the logs will be open for however long you guys need them, but FYI by Sunday around noon the police forces will come and bring a stop to what the mobs are doing. Also Mila will respond to everyone, but since I'm sick it may take me awhile to respond. c:]
