I came across a blog called
PostSecret today. The idea is that you take a postcard and write one of your deepest, darkest secrets on it. Then you send it to the guy that does the blog, and he will post it on the blog. I think it's a really cool idea.
Here are some of my favorites (click the secret to see the postcard):

I change my hair so often to make up for the fact that I won't be able to change who I am. I stay in a job I hate because I know I won't pass a drug screen anywhere else. Everyone who knew me before 9/11 believes I'm dead. Imagine taking the opportunity of everyone thinking that you're dead, and using it to start a whole new life. I can understand why people would want to do something like that. I moved far away from home partly for that purpose, but I could never totally abandon my family.
The site provides a psychological "release" for those that send in secrets. There's just something about sharing your secrets, even if it's anonymous, that provides a feeling of relief. Finding a place to share them is sometimes hard, and this blog provides a good way to share.
