Last day at Citi + Vertical Marathon!

Sep 03, 2011 23:53

So the last day of my internship was on 29 July (yes, I know these photos are kinda backdated already!) and it was a pretty exciting day because Citi happened to be having their annual vertical marathon that day. And from what I understand, basically staff from all the various departments in Citi participate in this vertical marathon, and then people donate money to charity or something.

I'll do away with the text for now and move on to the pictures first!

It was my last day, and I wanted to bring something special for my colleagues! So I asked my mum to help me make jellyhearts so that I could bring it to work for them. :D I was so worried that the jello would melt by the time I got to work! Fortunately the jellyhearts were all still intact. :)))

We had a farewell lunch that day at Sizzler. (Forgot to take pictures!) But anyway, after lunch, the bunch of interns went to get balloons because we were assigned the task of doing all the rahrah-ing for the HR teams taking part in the vertical marathon.

Everyone squeezing into the lift with the balloons to go downstairs to watch the marathon!

Candice was our assigned balloon girl for the day!

A few of the departments made the effort to dress up in all sorts of costumes, and this department is e-Biz (short for e-Business)... So they dressed up as e-BEES, hahahaha geddit geddit? I thought it was quite creative!

One of the bees was Abhi's (fellow intern's) friend!

Some of the HR peeps! We were all dressed in red that day haha.

At the lobby of Millenia Tower watching the teams start the race. That door in the middle is where they run to to access the staircase.

Interns + our MA! :)

With Jenny.

Ashley! ♥ The star balloon was a "thank you" gesture from boss when he was away on compliance leave heh. 'Twas quite a sight when we all received our balloons because the whole department had one silver star floating at each desk! And that's my cubicle right behind us, which, from what I understand, is actually quite huge compared to what my friends were getting in their offices. :D Well, I really enjoyed the space and privacy, but I guess it's partly due to the nature of the job which is why we have the high partitions + large desks. :))))

My last day was quite a crazy rush because I was still getting loads of work to do plus I didn't realise I had so many things to handover. :( I ended up OT-ing on my last day because there was just too much to finish! Anyhow, Citi was a great experience - learnt a lot and enjoyed my time there as well. I actually kinda miss the place and was really quite sad to leave! But in the meantime, I'll try to enjoy what's left of my student life. :(

Another update again, hopefully soon! I've been attempting to update every 5 days or so, but I've been so caught up with school work and Cocoquettes that sometimes I don't have time to even bother with my blog. :( Sigh can't believe we're already in week 4 and I feel like I'm still in dream landddddd.
