Lion King

A couple of weeks back, my sister brought me to watch Lion King (the musical). :))) I think I've become a bit of a miser when it comes to watching musicals in Singapore, because tickets in London are just so much cheaper I feel so cheated buying musical tickets here! >:( Well anyhow, Lion King was my sister's treat teehee, so I didn't really feel the pinch. I've actually been wanting to watch the musical since I saw the posters/theatre in London, but never got around to doing it... So since it was showing in Singapore, we found some time on a weekday night to go watch Lion King. :)

But first, pictures from much earlier in the day (since I brought my camera to work). The view from my office is quite nice actually! We can see the Flyer and MBS...

And we're overlooking the ECP too. It's just too bad that I don't sit next to the window. :(

Had dinner before the show at Pizzeria Mozza. :) Been wanting to dine here for the longest time because my sister was raving about it non-stop when it first opened. And the first time I went to Pizzeria Mozza a few months back, I was having food poisoning (what rotten luck, really) and could barely stomach anything. So this time, I made sure I was healthy and happy when I went there!

Snapping random pictures while waiting for a table and for my sister to arrive.

The theatre was just opposite the restaurant, how convenient. :)

We got bar counter seats which wasn't really a bad thing when you're in a party of two only. 'Twas quite interesting actually, because we got to watch the chefs make the pizza, slide them into the oven and take them out while they're still piping hot. :)

Our parma ham + cheese appetizer. :) (Ironically, this cost more than our main. -.-)

Pizzaaaaa. Sigh I'm getting hungry just looking at this. :(

Sorry for the lousy picture! But anyhow, this was our dessert which was slightly... Strange? It was all too salty and too sweet at once. It was something like a combination of biscuit, burnt caramel ice-cream, roasted marshmallows, and super salty roasted peanuts.

The food at Pizzeria Mozza is generally pretty good! :) It's a little pricey though. Particularly if you're going with a guy, because the pizzas are quite small, and the crust is really thin, so for the amount you're paying, it's unlikely to be filling for a guy at all. I do have to say though, that the service is fantastic - typical of American restaurants. It's always a pleasant surprise to find places in Singapore that actually provide amazing service. Even more pleasant when the said amazing service comes from a local. :)

Finished dinner just in time for a quick toilet break before heading to the theatre!

Took a random outfit picture while waiting for my sister to be done in the toilet.

Inside the theatre - it was surprisingly small, actually.

Tried to take something like x20 lousy self-shots (because of the bad lighting inside the theatre) and then finally gave up and got strangers to help.

:D

Okay I'm off to nua. It's been a very blue Monday at work for me. :(
