So spike jonze at cinema nova tonight, all up it was pretty good getting to see him and some of his production crew (like Catherine Keener who I didnt see myself but they kept referring to her and she spoke once). Unfortunately Spike isn't the most articulate speaker and most of his answers were a bit non-specific. He didn't want to say much about Where The Wild Things Are either as they're in preproduction (production starts in three weeks) and I guess still working things out. Otherwise there were a lot of insights into his work and he warmed up after awhile but not before bringing his costume and production designers on stage so he had people to defer all the difficult questions too. I think i'm going to go to his saturday talk at the forum but hopefully he's feeling a bit more relaxed and open by then.
