I have been picking away at my Final Co-op Report (due tomorrow) slowly... painfully slowly... all day. Although I like my job, writing about it is DEATH.

Things I've done today in the interest of avoiding the co-op report: read every website I have ever enjoyed; watched Project Runway on youtube; napped on the couch; moved from the couch to the table; bribed myself with food; moved from the table to the floor in front of the fireplace; returned to the couch...

Does anyone have any good Christmas present ideas to share? Particularly for middle aged men. Sophie asked my Dad what he wanted, and he said, "Maybe a nice bottle of wine." And she's like, well, I can't buy that, I'm 18. My mom asked for "comfortable pants," and she has never liked an article of clothing given to her by someone else in her life. My aunt & uncle are coming for Christmas, so we have to get them something. And my step-grandmother is covered, but my step-grandfather is this nice but sphinx-like guy... very quiet; no one knows anything about him except that he likes boats. Also, they're pretty well-off, and what do you buy rich people? So far my ideas have been lame... gift certificate to a camping store/plant store/framing store, satellite radio, Aveda products for the women.

My thing of the moment is making soup. I'm having loads of fun mixing and matching soup ingredients (this time, parsley! next time, tomato base!), if that tells you anything about my current lifestyle. My other thing is daily or every-other-day trips to the grocery store, where I circle the aisles several times while listening to my mp3 player, and finally emerge with approx. four items.

By now I feeling pretty starved of socializing, and I'm looking to cram as much friends/family time into my Christmas vacation as possible.
