So far I have been making headway with my master plan:
School
I went back to school this time for a New Media degree. I focused my time learning Flash, Video Production and Typography among other areas that I didn’t get a chance to do while I was at the Art Institute. My time at AIP helped cut down the time I had to spend picking an A.S. most of my classes transferred over which is a rare occurrence, most people who left AIP had to start over from scratch. I ended up graduating Cum Laude with an A.S. in New Media which helped me to accomplish one of my goals gaining a higher GPA. My grades at AIP were not bad, but they were not where I wanted them to be. I always did better with online classes at AIP always netting an A; where as on ground classes my lowest grade was a C-. With that goal achieved I can feel better about applying for my masters/ doctorate degrees later on.
Work
Since I’m fresh out of school I needed summer employment to offset my student loans and the relocation fund. I ended up taking a job with CVS as a Pharmacy Technician it’s a pretty sweet deal I have the freedom to pursue job offers with new media/game companies and I get a pay raise when I get certified.
Art
I am working on a Poster contest on the side while I do a complete overhaul on my webpage. I’ve also come up with a few new ideas for games and I’m excited to begin working on a few prototypes which will hopefully turn from demo into full blown working game.
I also should mention that I got the new Patton Oswalt CD I thought he did well in Ratatouille , but I was really surprised by Transformers. I guess going into the theater with low low low expectations from Michael Bay helped make that one of my favorite flicks this summer (I don’t want to talk about Spider-Man 3).
Everything else is as it should be
